Palpable air of excitement rented the entire atmosphere of close associates, friends and family members of Oloye Jubril Dotun Sanusi as the Okanlomo Odua issued statement, celebrating the emergence of the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Akanmu Ladoja, the chairman of Oyo State Council of Obas.
Governor Makinde’s proclamation of Oba Rasidi Ladoja came with frenzy of visible happiness for the king, who is much loved by the Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Engr. Jubril Dotun Sanusi.
Governor Seyi Makinde narrated how the three monarchs, Soun of Ogbomoso, Alaafin of Oyo and Olubadan of Ibadanland have agreed that the chairmanship will be rotated amongst the trio, alongside peaceful coexistence and mutual respect of their stools.
“This is well deserved, thoughtful, a step in the right direction and positive projection of the image of Oyo State,” Dotun Sanusi’s camp stated.
With this development, some of Engr. Dotun Sanusi share the view that we can hardly have any Oba from other ethnic tribes who parades such enviable profile like the Arusa 1.
This, at meetings of traditional rulers, Oyo State will command huge respect and honour for allowing such a ruler stand on the front burner.
